Chicago Bridal Boudoir

As a Chicago Bridal Boudoir photographer, I photograph countless women with different personalities and unique stories, but very few embody the kind of quiet confidence and grace that Brittany personifies. Everything for this shoot fell into place. Between the gorgeous morning light and simplistic details that helped highlight Brittany’s effortless beauty, it really did make for a breathtaking display. 

This lovely couple from Wheaton, IL are getting married in the beginning of July. Their story, as Brittany tells it, is an uncomplicated and lovely one. After meeting in graduate school, their friendship quickly turned into something more and they have not looked back ever since. When she decided to gift these to her husband, she thought they would be a unique and timeless gift. What she didn’t expect was the empowering affect it had on her. She was finally able to see herself through his lens. His endless and sincere compliments finally had a physical presence for her to lean on whenever his admiration may have been hard to accept. 

My hope is that when they both look back on this breathtaking gift, they let it serve as a snapshot for how they both brought the absolute best out in one another. Their certainty for one another only reminds us that love and romance doesn’t have to be so complicated.

Modern Styling

When we decided this was the gift Brittany wanted to gift to her soon-to-be husband, we chose understated pieces for the session. I wanted to make sure nothing would distract from the the timeless nature of Brittany’s essence. It is always important that I keep distractions at bay. This session was all about Brittany, and by keeping that theme in place with our understated wardrobe selections, we kept the simple and modern ambiance that I feel most comfortable delivering to my clients. We started with a simple lingerie piece from Victoria’s Secret and ended with a fun, bold, and red chiffon skirt which contrasted perfectly with Brittany’s light features and had plenty of movement to add some layers to the shoot.  I have recently designed a gorgeous velvet covered album for her to gift her husband to be with her favorite images from the session.  This timeless piece will be a beautiful addition to her album collection and will showcase these images perfectly.

As a beauty and bridal boudoir photographer one of my favorite parts of the job is helping women capture a snapshot in their life which signifies their transition from single, independent and amazing to married, independent and amazing. These romantic and feminine photographs can sometimes be the very first (and last) that women take on their own. The confidence and happiness women have at this time in their life is always something that is worth documenting. These pictures are for celebrating women and all of their timeless beauty. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the day to day responsibilities in our lives, sessions like this one help us to hold on to the memories that we appreciate the most.

My Inspiration

To me boudoir photography is an art form and a way for me to create beautiful imagery that reflects a woman’s independence and natural beauty. I am drawn to romantic, organic, and understated imagery and create modern boudoir artwork from a woman’s perspective. Every woman has a story and I would love to tell yours! Studio location
